P-1: Primary Structure, 52" x 24' HR Vibrating Grizzly Feeder

Primary Structure
Primary Dump Hopper, Hopper and Grizzly Feeder support, designed for a Metso 52” x 24’ Vibrating Grizzly Feeder, and a Zone 6 Sidewall. Included will be:
a) Primary Dump Hopper: The dump hopper is a “rock box” type of design. The sidewalls are constructed of ¾” reinforced plate, bolted construction. The dump hopper has a minimum capacity of 150 tons “live”. The dump hopper also includes feeder skirts with ¾” AR steel bolt-in liners.
b) Hopper and Feeder Support Steel: These supports are fabricated from heavy-duty structural columns and beams with cross bracing. Also included is the under feeder discharge hopper. This hopper will be a “rock box” type of design. ¾” AR steel bolt-in liners will be provided where required.
c) Stairs and Accesses: Access to the structure will be provided by stairs with hand railing and toe boards. Access around equipment is provided by use of non-skid steel grating, hand railing, and toe boards. Access to both sides of the vibrating grizzly feeder is also included.
d) Zone 6 Sidewall: The material, which passes over the Vibrating Grizzly Feeder, will dump onto the ground forming a half conical pile against a sidewall constructed of ¾” reinforced plate. This steel wall will be placed above a 7’ high concrete wall supplied by WCA.
Nordberg 52” x 24’ Model HREFVE13 Vibrating Grizzly Feeder, with 16’ long of 1” thick solid pan deck with ¾” thick AR steel quick change pan liner, ½” thick AR side plate wear liners, vibrator mechanism with (4) 130 mm, 23 series bearings, open tube oil flow through splash type lubrication, wide faced helical gears for timing, two (2) 4’ long stepped grizzly sections with a 7” opening at the discharge end (grizzly bar openings are adjustable by changing the spacer plate), 9” high cast manganese grizzly bars, coil spring mounting assembly, V-Belt drive assembly including motor sheave, bushing and V-belts, pivot-motor base & drive guard, and variable speed drive with 40 HP, TEFC, 1800 RPM drive motor.
Splitter Bin w/ One (1) “Screw” type Clamshell Gate consisting of:
Carbon steel splitter bin with primed interior and finish painted exterior. Two (2) openings with discharge chutes will be provided. One opening will be closed off by a “Screw” type Clamshell Gate, which regulates the amount of product that is sent to the Zone 4B Stockpile and the other shall be an Overflow Chute, which sends material to the Primary Screens (P-2) via C-4. 3/8” AR steel bolt-in liners will be provided where required. The bin will be elevated on a structural steel support frame.

Note: Each of the conveyors mechanical components (frame, bearings, shafting, gear boxes, take-ups, etc.), except motors are designed for 950 STPH for the 30" wide conveyors (1300 STPH for 36" wide conveyors) with an incline of 18 degrees. The exception to this are as follows: Overland conveyors (C-61, and C-62) were designed for 950 STPH for the 30" wide conveyors with a lift 25 feet; Reject Transfer conveyor was designed with a lift 30 feet; Tunnel conveyor (C-23) was designed with a lift 50 feet; Screen Overs Transfer conveyor (C-48 was designed with a lift 30 feet; and Zone 3 Transfer conveyor (C-55) was designed with a lift 40 feet;. All conveyor motors are were sized by taking the belt tonnage listed in each of the conveyor descriptions times 125% and then increased one size to have better cooling because of the altitude.
